GWEN AND JOHN'S WEDDING

The wedding was last month and the following item would have appeared in the newspaper if Daddy sent a news release:

Manila, Philippines: John Santos and Gwen Astrid was married on August 11, 2008, though they originally wanted a 8-08-2008 date, but, found out the church was booked that date, at the Sanctuario de San Antonio church, Forbes Park. Makati City. Still luck was on their side because John came with his loving parents, Mr. Delanao Santos and Mrs. Fe Santos. And Gwen's father, Mr. Socrates Limcumpao, gave her away, with her mother, Elizabeth Limcumpao , beaming with pride. Mr. Limcumpao almost shed tears only to remember that if he did he would pay his brothers $10 for every tear shed. The moving ceremony lasted almost an hour and every family, friends and relatives were happy to witness such a solemn and impressive nuptial. The priest pronounced John and Gwen as husband and wife with those in attendance giving them blessing for a blissful married life.

The principal sponsors who's who in Luzon and California societies including Capt. Noel Porcuna, Aileen Bugarin, Pablo Limcumpao, Jr., Noami Nicado, Romeo Villanueva ,Annabella Oliveros, John Go, Susan Oronce, Renato Garcia, Honorata Garcia, Jesus Santos, Luz Santos, Ramon Visperas, Ofelia Visperas, Roseller Siat and Racquel Siat. Bestman was Edward Reyes and the the Maid of Honor was the bride's sister, Gail Monique Limcumpao.

Reception followed at the 1 Espalanade Ballroom near the Mall of Asia. Video montage and photo slide show was shown. A sumptuous dinner was served and everybody had fun with True Faith providing the music. John's father made a speech and mentioned that he expect john and Gwen to give him a grandson ASAP. Next, Gwen's father also made a speech, but, was shortened for the benefit of those who really listened as the others had left already. Of course, Gwen's Lola Lydia would have the final say and welcome John as the newest member of the family. All in all, it was a day for all to remember and wish the newlywed happiness, success and health in their new life together.
